OUR 15TH ANNUAL Toy soldier club event is now history-- It was a wonderful effort on the part of the club . So many members chipping in to help made for a smooth operation.. There are just too many SFTSC,inc members that helped , to mention them all in this venue..Needless to say , the guiding hands of our three 2009 event co chairmen made the whole thing gel. Our President ,Mike Skurda, our Secretary Alan McGhee, and Past President John Lesinski did yoman work in melding all the myriad details needed to create a successful show.. hip hip hooray, for a job well done..

GREETINGS FELLOW MEMBERS SFTSC ,INC.----------OUR NEXT MEETING IS THE THIRD SUNDAY OF APRIL, THE 19TH ,RATHER THAN THE USUAL SECOND SUNDAY , WHICH IS EASTER SUNDAY.---A LIGHT LUNCH WILL BE SERVED, PIZZA THIS TIME....and THE USUAL 'SHOW AND TELL' SET UPS. THERE WILL BE A PROGRAM COORDINATED BY FRANK H. AND A PRESENTATION MY FRANK BURNS (EL FRANCO) WHICH SHOULD BE MOST ENLIGHTENING. Frank always has a good handle on his subject.. WE WILL HAVE OUR EVEN STEVEN DRAWING,(A CHANCE TO GET RICH) AND THE SHOW COMM. WILL TELL OF THEIR PROGRESS AND INNOVATIONS FOR THE CLUB'S 16TH ANNUAL TOY SOLDIER SHOW EVENT WHICH WILL BE SUNDAY JANUARY 3IST,2010.. ALL OF US IN THE CLUB CAN BE PROUD OF THIS CONTINUING PRESENTATION. THE CLUB PUTS IT'S BEST FOOT FORWARD IN BRINGING THIS EVENT TO SOUTH FLORIDA.------- THE ONLY ONE OF ITS KIND AND SCOPE IN OUR AREA- -- A BOON TO TOY SOLDIER AFFECTIONADOS IN AND OUT OF A CLUB SETTING..........OUR MARCH,2009 MEETING HAD 25 % OF THE MEMBERS PRESENT. ODD NUMBERED MONTH MEETINGS LIKE MARCH ARE, ADDITIONAL TO OUR REGULAR EVEN MONTH MEETINGS. AND BREED FRIENDSHIP AND LEARNING, IT CAN'T BE BAD........FRANK H. AND GEORGE N . GAVE EXCELLENT PRESENTATIONS ON THE HISTORY OF THE BLACK WATCH AND KARTOUM RESPECTIVELY.......JEFF F. GAVE A ENLIGHTENING TALK ALSO.. ALL IN ALL A EDIFYING AND STILL ANOTHER 'HAPPY TIME' FOR OUR CLUB...

.........THERE IS NO CLUB MEETING IN MAY AND THE NEXT MEETING AFTER OUR APRIL 19TH WILL BE JUNE 14TH-HOPEFULLY CHEF TONY WILL BE BACK ON THE JOB, FOR OUR JUNE MEETING.........WE SHOULD HAVE OUR CLUB 2009 ROOSTER READY AROUND THEN...IT IS DELAYED FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS... ANYWAYS ,LOOKING FORWARD TO A NICE TURN OUT FOR OUR APRIL 19TH MEETING....... GOOD AND WELFARE........WE HAVE A NUMBER OF MEMBERS WHO ARE OCTOGENARIANS, AND THEY ARE GUIDING LIGHT FOR THE REST OF THE CLUB -- THEY ARE MOST APPRECIATED AND THE CLUB IS GRACED TO HAVE THEIR CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN CLUB ACTIVITIES.

I am in the process of turning the Pictures from this show and the two shows before it into galleries soon so that you can see them here its a slow process, there are hundreds of pictures to edit crop clean and post and i thank you for your patience.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Sunday of even numbered months. At the Tamarac Community Center 8601 W Commercial Blvd Fort Lauderdale, FL 33351-4333 everyone with an interest in club membership is cordially invited to attend.
